Links: Because There Are Websites Besides This One

• The Huffington Post's collection of strike articles continues to grow at a staggering rate. They have many reports from the lines and some great analysis of why we're right and Nick Counter is a horrifying chupacabra (I'm paraphrasing).

• While Variety may be "the producer's daily newsletter" according to Ms. Finke, their Scribe Vibe blog has so far been both balanced and funny. You know, if the word "blog" didn't exist, Variety would have invented it.

• Few people understand the implications of the digital content revolution better than the Wall Street Journal's Kara Swisher. And I'm not just saying that because she quotes me.

• Here is some video of WGA members speaking at LA's City Council meeting yesterday. They were there to support Councilmember Eric Garcetti's resolution encouraging the continuation of negotiations for a contract. Use the "Jump To" feature on the left side (under City Council Meeting - Wednesday) and go to Item No. (34)-07-3568. Come for the strike stuff, stay for the conditional property use appeals!

• A faux PSA about what TV will be like without writers, courtesy of the team at the Best Week Ever blog.

The Best Week Ever bit is funny except why should it be at the expense of the PGA? The Producers aren't the bad guys here, are they? Isn't it the Studios?? As your blog becomes more and more popular, I think you owe it to your supporters, especially the non-industry experts, to be clear on who they're fighting for and against.

Best Week Ever bit was SO not funny. Too bad they couldn't hire a writer for punch up.
