It will start being far more about one's content standing on its own merits and far less about hacks squeaking by on who they know or what they've got.Captain Obvioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12914653846791290845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2462026865900537983.post-90149820538124474772008-01-16T13:55:00.000-08:002008-01-16T13:55:00.000-08:00This is a wonderful idea. What would happen if very talented and seasoned outfits did the same? Success! I would love to see writers and producers start up independent companies and distribute through the internet (Apple TV is a great example of the potential here). Start owning your own ideas again!Tashinorbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18060847071349664343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2462026865900537983.post-44430474078341034952008-01-16T13:52:00.000-08:002008-01-16T13:52:00.000-08:00Bravo! This has been my feeling for awhile now. ...Bravo! This has been my feeling for awhile now. There are three main reasons the corporations have had control of this business: 1) They have the money. Well, a lot of other companies have the money to get involved if they want to jump in. Can you say Google? 2) They have the relationships with talent. Sure, but they've just taken huge steps to damage that. The talent is pissed, and this has been brewing for some time now. And finally (your point and the biggest reason of all,) 3) they've had a monopoly on distribution, possession of a limited resource: bandwidth. Well, thanks to the internet, not anymore.

I don't know, corporations. It seems like just a matter of time before we're all catching the 3:10 to YouTube.Eggrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14662739382597485724noreply@blogger.com
